Roussillon

One of the most beautiful hilltop villages in Provence, Roussillon is best known for sitting atop the world's largest ochre deposit with its famous red cliffs, and ochre quarries providing an artist's pallet worth of colored stone to construct the city. This was on my "must-paint" list from the moment I first saw it.
